We Eloped!
As you all know John’a and I got engaged at the beginning of this year on February 2. It didn’t take us long to plan out our wedding day because it’s something we had been creating piece by piece over time. We didn’t know at the time that we’d be moving back to San Diego so soon but by the end of February that’s exactly where we were headed.
The moment we moved back we were hit with COVID-19 and everything completely shut down, so our dream wedding on the Beach in San Diego was pretty much cancelled if we planned on having it in May of this year. So It got us thinking, why should we have to wait a whole year to make a “legal” commitment when we already are committed to each other on a soul level.
That’s when we decided we wanted to have a intimate elopement!

We took that leap of faith and I couldn’t be happier! This is what it’s all about for me, the small intimate moments like this. Just us, in all honesty we’re our own foundation and it’s pretty solid this way. This moment wasn’t about or for anyone else but the three of us. A promise and commitment to love, support, and grow with one another. The day was beautiful nonetheless the weather was perfect, skies were clear, and the water was just right. Thats how I know we’re in alignment. Today just simply flowed. We ended up at the beach on our wedding day after all, see how God works!
Now all that’s left to do is celebrate! On May 22, 2021 we will be having a vow ceremony and reception for our closest friends and family in Maryland. I’m excited the most to have both families together celebrating our love. It’s been a long road traveled to get where we are but I couldn’t be any happier with life right now! I’m still in awe at the love God has for me unconditionally to bless me with all that I have. Go do what makes you happy and helps you evolve! Go live life now, stop waiting.
we ended up getting washed out by the waves hitting the rocks but it was refreshing!
